📋 The Focus Planner was planning crafts you could never actually do

It put 9,828 of your 10,000 focus into one row without checking whether the materials for that many crafts exist, whether you could afford them, or whether anyone would buy the output. Measured, that plan was worth minus 539,676 silver.
Now every line says what stopped it — “inputs sold out”, “demand-capped”, “out of silver”, or “focus spent”. Only the last one means the plan is actually complete.
Rows now share the raw materials they compete for. Planks and enchanted planks both eat the same wood — before, each one assumed it could have all of it.
New Silver Budget box. None of the crafting tools have ever asked how much silver you actually have, so a plan could happily tell you to spend 40 million you don’t have.
If we have no sell-through data for a line, the plan says so rather than quietly assuming unlimited demand.

🌟 Silver days and gold days now count

The daily city production bonus was missing everywhere. The only trace of it was a gold-day checkbox in the RRR Calculator — so a silver day could not be modelled at all. It is worth about 8.5% of your material cost on a bonus day.
New “Today’s bonus city” + “Daily bonus” controls on the Crafting tab, shared with the RRR Calculator. We cannot detect which city has the bonus — it is in no game file and no public API — so you set it. Off by default, so nothing changes until you do.
It matters more than it looks. A gold day pushes average silver-per-focus up but extra-silver-per-focus down, because the bonus helps your unfocused crafts too. Planning a focus day without it gets the order wrong.
Applied only to that city’s own specialty production — we have not confirmed whether it lifts everything else in that city, so we leave it out rather than overstate your profit.

🏷️ We’re now Albion Terminal

The old name had to go. “Albion Market Analyzer” collided with a live competitor of nearly the same name, and with an official forum thread warning players about malware under that exact title — which is a bad place to be when you offer a client to download.
Why “Terminal”: a terminal is the one place you run an entire operation from. That fits a site covering market prices, crafting and refining, transport, the loot logger and the damage meter far better than a name about market analysis.
Nothing you have installed breaks. The capture client keeps talking to the same address, your login keeps working, and the old domain stays alive permanently.
The front page now actually mentions the loot logger and damage meter — somehow it never did.

⏱️ How old is that price? The ranker now tells you — and buy orders finally count as a cost

Every ranked craft now shows the age of its oldest price. A row is only as current as its stalest input, whether that is a material or the sell price. There is a new Max price age filter too, defaulting to 12 hours.
Why 12 and not 4: we measured live prices first. The median row’s oldest price is 8.6 hours old, so a 4-hour filter would hide 73% of the board and just look broken. A price with no timestamp says “age unknown” and is removed by any filter — unknown is not the same as fresh.
Buy orders that fill are now recorded as a cost. They were captured nowhere — which mattered a lot once we started recommending buy orders for materials, because the run then looked like pure profit. Orders you place are also kept now instead of disappearing on refresh.
You will need the latest client for buy-order fills. Note we have never seen one of these mails in the wild yet, so the client records it only if it reads cleanly — a missing cost is fixable, a wrong one quietly ruins a whole craft run.

🪨 Stone has recipes that make 8 blocks for the price of 1 — we were hiding all of them

Some items have more than one recipe. Stone can be refined from enchanted rock to produce 2, 4 or 8 blocks for the same focus. Our recipe file only ever read the first recipe and threw the rest away, so this mechanic did not exist anywhere on the site.
What it is worth (T7 Basalt Block, live prices, specialty city): the standard recipe returns 33.0 extra silver per focus. The ×8 recipe returns 309.9 — same focus, 9.4× the value. Focus per block drops from 42 to 5.3.
But you can only buy so much enchanted rock. T7 .3 rock trades about 166 a day, and each craft eats 5 — so that is 33 crafts, however much focus you have. Every multi-output row now shows the cap it is really under (“inputs support ~33/day”), and the Daily Focus Planner respects it: it takes the 33, then spends the rest of your focus on the next-best recipe.
If we have no trade history for an input, the row says “input depth unknown” — not “unlimited”.
Every row is labelled (“×8 from .3 rock”), and Crafting Profits now tells you when an item has these recipes instead of silently showing you the ×1 one.

🧮 “Silver per focus” was measuring the wrong thing

The column was net profit ÷ focus. But focus only buys you a better resource return rate — revenue, tax and fees are identical without it, and the unfocused craft is still there for free. Charging the whole profit to the focus credits it with silver you’d have made anyway.
It was biased against refining. The old number flattered high-margin gear where focus barely helps, and buried material-heavy refines where the focus is the profit — the exact opposite of what every refiner knows.
Now it shows what the focus itself earns: the material cost it saves versus the same craft unfocused. On two crafts costing identical focus, the old column ranked them 268.1 vs 143.1; the new one ranks them 4.6 vs 60.1 — the order flips and the refine comes out on top.
Losing crafts no longer top the list. One refine was leading on extra-per-focus while losing 14,991 silver every craft.
The old average is still there — shown beside the new figure on Crafting Profits, and in the tooltip on every ranked row. Applied to What to Craft, the Refining Studio and the refining Market Overview.

📉 Buy your materials with buy orders

New “Get materials by” option. Crafting always assumed you buy materials instantly at the lowest sell order. Placing a buy order and waiting is often far cheaper — one measured craft went from 667 to 1,374 profit, roughly +243k silver a day at a full focus bar.
It is not always better, and the tool will tell you so. Creating a buy order costs the same 2.5% fee as a sell order. If the spread is under 2.44% the fee eats the saving, so each material quietly uses whichever route is genuinely cheaper. It can never cost you more than buying instantly.
Default is unchanged, so nothing moves until you pick it.

🏙️ Crafting profits were assuming you could shop in every city at once

Material costs used the cheapest price across all seven cities — regardless of where you sell or where your bonus applies. That is a craft you could only do by standing in three cities simultaneously, and it made profits look far better than they are.
How far off: one measured craft showed 2,237 profit that way versus 1,513 done entirely in one city. Worse, 31.8% of “profitable” gear crafts were actually a loss at any single real city.
Now it prices materials where you’d really buy them — the same city you sell in, by default. There’s a new “Buy materials in” option if you genuinely buy in one city and haul, and the card now shows which city the cost came from so you can check it.
The City Heatmap is honest now too. It was comparing cities while giving every one of them the same impossible material cost, then colouring a winner.
Same fix applied to What to Craft and the Refining Studio. Expect some rankings to change — that’s the point.

📋 See everything you have on sale

New “On Sale Now” panel in Portfolio. Every open order — item, quantity, price each, total and days until it expires — split into what you’re selling and your buy orders, each with a silver total.
To fill it, open Marketplace → My Orders in game with the client running. The game sends your whole order book at that moment and it appears here. Cancel something in game and it disappears from the list next time you open that panel — nothing to tidy up by hand.
It always tells you how old it is. This is a snapshot from the last time you opened My Orders, not a live feed, so the panel shows when it was captured and warns you past a day. If it can’t load, it says so rather than showing you an empty list.
Delete works on auto-added Portfolio rows again — it had been silently doing nothing on exactly the rows you didn’t type in yourself.
“Completed Craft Runs” appears for the first time. It had never rendered for anyone due to a typo that failed quietly instead of loudly.

🏴 Black Market listings were costing more than we showed you

We told you a Black Market sale had no listing fee. It does. A change on 9 September assumed the Black Market only takes instant fills, never listings — so it never charged the 2.5% setup fee there. Checked in game: you can list on the Black Market, and it charges exactly what every other market charges.
What it cost you: on a 49,257 silver sale we showed 1,970 tax where the game takes 3,202. The Black Market is the default sell city, so this was quietly flattering every crafting and transport number that sold there.
Fixed: the Black Market is no longer special-cased at all — your “Sell as” choice decides, there as everywhere. Instant sells were always correct and are unchanged.
Settled while we were at it: the tax rate itself is confirmed as 8%, halved to 4% with Premium. That had been an open question for weeks, and the number the site already used turns out to be right.

⚡ Instant sells now count too

Selling straight into a buy order is finally tracked. It never produces an in-game mail, so it always looked invisible — but the game does tell your client about it, and we simply weren’t listening. These now show up as SOLD NOW and count toward your takings.
No need to browse the market first. Unlike instant buys, an instant sell identifies the item on its own. If the price can’t be worked out the sale is skipped rather than recorded as zero, so it can never quietly drag your totals down.
Reaches you with the next client update.

💰 Your market activity is being recorded again

Buys and listings stopped being recorded in July and nobody noticed. Two different features shared one internal message type, and one of them was quietly eating the other's data. Both are fixed, and tracking is live again.
Half of “Recent Sales” was actually purchases. Buys, new listings and buy orders all looked exactly like completed sales — and the Discord export added them all into one total captioned as sales, which is the sort of thing you paste into guild chat. Every row now says what it is, and the total counts only real sales.
The panel now loads when you open Portfolio. It was only ever fetched from the Loot Buyer tab, so going straight to Portfolio showed an empty box even when your data was sitting on the server.
Two numbers your client was recording wrongly. A 205-item listing was being saved as 1, and a 499,983 silver listing as 70,486 — understated seven times over. Both are fixed and will reach you in the next client update.

🔧 Focus costs corrected, Build Finder unfrozen, and the damage meter finished

Focus cost was wrong on every craft. The calculator only ever counted your main specialisation and silently treated every other spec as zero, which overstated focus cost by roughly 2.3–2.8×. Every silver-per-focus number you have seen was affected. It now uses your real spec levels.
Premium no longer defaults to on. The site used to assume Premium before you told it anything, quietly overstating every crafting margin by 4 percentage points for non-Premium players. It now waits for you to say — and ticking Premium on one screen finally updates it everywhere instead of one tab flipping it back.
Black Market rows stopped being taxed as sell orders. Corrected 9 September — this was wrong. It claimed the Black Market takes no listings and therefore charges no listing fee. Checked in game: you can list on the Black Market, and it charges the same 8% tax + 2.5% setup fee as anywhere else (4% tax with Premium). The override has been removed, so your sell-strategy choice decides, on the Black Market exactly as everywhere else.
Build Finder was serving day-old kills. Its crawler had silently stopped fetching twice in four days — alive, reporting no errors, and quietly frozen. It now detects its own stalls and restarts itself, and the monitor watches for this.
Damage meter: filter by target, sort by boss damage, and use it from a keyboard. You can now narrow the meter to one enemy, add a Boss % column, and tab through rows with a screen reader. Clicking a row to graph someone no longer forces a panel open.
Alerts can actually be set up again. The Discord invite link in the alerts wizard pointed at an application that no longer exists, so the very first step could not be completed — which meant every alert created was undeliverable.

🏭 Craft Studio and Refining Studio, with clearer names

“Top-N Ranker” is now “What to Craft”. The old name was a maths placeholder that told you nothing. “Crafting Profits” is now Craft Calculator and “Refining Lab” is Refining Studio.
Crafting and refining are two studios now. Craft Studio holds “What to craft” and the Craft Calculator; Refining Studio stands on its own. Each has a link straight to the other, because the two questions constantly feed each other.
One-click “should I refine this myself?” Any refined material inside a craft now has a refine → button that opens the Refining Studio with that material’s family, tier and enchant already set and the scan already run.
The toolbar got a proper redesign after it was rightly called out for looking like a 1990s status bar — clear studio name, a real segmented switcher, and your setup as one readable line instead of a row of boxes.

⚒️ Crafting: your journals are worth silver, and the tabs stopped disagreeing

Every craft fills part of a journal, and the site never counted it. Crafting Profits now shows what those journals are worth per city — a T6 Mercenary Jacket carries about 6,300 silver a craft, roughly a tenth of what the item itself nets, and far more at higher enchants. It is its own line and is never added to your profit unless you tick “Sell journals”, because that money is only real if you actually buy the empties, carry them and sell them full.
Crafting Profits, Top-N and the Refining Lab now share one bar. Switch between them without hunting the menu, and see the setup that is actually in force — spec, mastery, focus, food, and the tax rate being applied. If you are not premium you can now see you’re being charged 8% instead of 4%.
Your crafter profile carries focus now. It always claimed to and never did, which is why the crafting tabs kept disagreeing with each other.
“Should I refine this myself?” now answers both halves. Each material row already compared buying against refining; it now also shows what refining costs without spending focus — green if it still beats buying, amber if it only wins because you spent focus there. Focus is limited and the finished item usually pays better for it.

⚔️ Combat Meter: two new graph views, and it finally works on a phone

Everyone stopped changing colour when a fight ended. During a live fight players were coloured one way and the saved fight coloured them another, so the whole party visibly swapped colours the moment the fight finished. The TANK badge was also usually wrong live, and could stick for a whole fight off a single tick of healing.
Two new ways to read the graph. Cumulative shows totals climbing instead of a spiky per-second line, which makes it obvious who actually pulled ahead and when. Share shows each player’s slice of the party as a percentage band. The old cluttered legend is replaced by colour chips you can click to hide or show a player.
Usable on a phone. The name and bar were squeezed into about 48 pixels; rows are now two lines, and Active % is shown and sortable on mobile for the first time.
Session totals say “wall” now. A single fight measures per-second over the fight; a whole session measures over the clock including the gaps between fights. Those sit one click apart and could read ten times different, so the session figure is labelled and both numbers are in the tooltip.
Plus an average-per-hit column on abilities, CSV export of the ability breakdown, tidier tooltips, and hovering a row now highlights that player’s line on the graph.

🛡️ A cheap fake listing could stick as the price — fixed

One lowball order could pin itself as an item’s price in your browser and never let go. Live orders arrive without a timestamp, so we stamped them with the current time — which made them look newer than every real market update that followed, so none of them could ever replace it. It also kept showing as freshly-updated. Live orders are now marked as what they are, and the next real market scan always wins.
The Top-N ranker was hiding recipes it had never checked. It only looks up trading activity for the top few hundred rows, then removed everything else for “no sales data” — data it never asked for. It now only hides items it actually measured.
“Silver / Hour” is gone. It multiplied profit by a fixed number, so it produced exactly the same order as Net Profit while printing impossible figures. Sorting by Silver / Focus with Focus switched off also did nothing at all; it now falls back to profit and says so.

⚔️ Today's game patch renamed half the abilities — fixed, plus crafting profit fixes

Ability names in the Combat Meter were wrong after today's patch. The update added one new dragon ability partway down the game's internal list, which pushed everything after it along by one — so most abilities in your fight breakdown were showing the name of the ability next to them. Rebuilt against the new game data; names are correct again. Nothing you captured was lost, only the labels were wrong.
Everything else survived the patch untouched. Item names, weights, mob names and the capture client all check out against the new game files, so loot logging, market scanning and chest capture were never affected.
Selling to the Black Market is now priced properly. The Black Market buys from you instantly, so it is taxed at the instant-sale rate, not the sell-order rate the calculator was using. A T6 bow into a 49,257 bid now shows 7,187 profit instead of 5,955 — and the tax line finally matches the profit underneath it.
Plan a whole batch, not one craft. Set how many you intend to make (up to 10,000) and the shopping list, costs and totals all scale with it, so the numbers match the run you are actually doing.
Item values now come from the game itself. They drive station fees and repair costs, and were previously estimated for artifact and Avalonian gear — a T6 Avalonian bow was valued at 2,128 when the game says 9,728. Read straight from the game data now, for 6,391 recipes.

⚒️ Crafting numbers corrected, and the damage meter grew up

A quarter of all equipment was missing its city crafting bonus. Every piece of gatherer gear, every off-hand and every artifact weapon was quietly treated as having no specialist city, which overstated their material cost by about 13% and buried them in the rankings. The site now reads the category straight from the game instead of guessing it from the item name.
The shopping list told you to buy too little. It listed the amount left after refunds, so a craft needing 32 planks asked for 27.1. It now lists what you actually need in your bag, with the expected refund shown beside it.
The fight timeline is now the main view, full width above the table instead of a small panel to the side that slid underneath on smaller screens — and the table itself finally uses the whole width.
New Max Hit column. Your client has been recording everyone's biggest single hit and heal all along; the site simply never showed it. Sortable, like the other columns.

🧰 Client v1.6.17, and the site should stall less

Update your capture client to v1.6.17 — or rather, don't: if you are on v1.6.16 it installs itself. Quitting from the tray icon used to throw away captured data that had not reached disk yet, including the end of your loot log and anything still queued for the website. It now saves everything first.
The client no longer stalls when the server goes quiet. If the connection hung without closing, sending could block and captures went missing. It now gives up after ten seconds and retries.
Database housekeeping moved off the web server's critical path. A routine maintenance step used to run inside whichever request happened to trigger it, which is what caused the long freeze back in June. It runs in its own background service now.

🌾 Farm calculator fixed, and two security holes closed

Farm & Breed was showing made-up numbers. Nine of the item names it looked up do not exist in the game, so it found no prices, treated the income as zero, and ended up ranking the most expensive seed first — the opposite of the truth. All the names are corrected and checked against live market data, the harvest yield matches the game, and produce is now valued the way you would actually sell it.
Two security fixes are already live. Request limits could be sidestepped by anyone sending a forged header, and error pages were revealing server file paths. Both are closed.
Searching an item code now works. Typing the code printed on a card, like T4_BAG, used to return nothing.
Flip scans start with fresh prices only. The top result used to be whatever looked most profitable even if the price was a day old and long gone.
The Journals type and premium options do something now, and Repair Cost no longer accepts an impossible durability.

🧹 A batch of fixes from the audit

The site should feel much faster. Nothing was being compressed before, so every visit downloaded about 6 MB. Text now ships compressed.
Deaths name the right killer. The loot logger was naming whoever uploaded the file, and sometimes the victim themselves. It now says "unknown" when the capture does not know, and takes the real name from the killboard when a battle report is available.
Fake listings no longer top the lists. Someone listing an item at 999,999,999 silver used to be the number one Upgrade Flip, and skewed the Top Traded average price. Prices far out of line with the rest of the market are now ignored.
Links to Combat Meter and Build Finder work. Both used to dump you on the Market Browser.
Dragonfire zones show a readable name instead of a long internal id.
Browsing as a guest is remembered, so you are not asked to log in on every page load.
Easier to read. Faint grey text has been brightened to meet accessibility contrast, and the navigation row no longer runs off the edge on a laptop screen.
Text prompts that always came back empty, and the Community tab's loader, are fixed too.

🔧 Four real bugs found and fixed

Transport Routes works again. "Find Routes" had been failing silently in its default Live mode since mid-July and showing you nothing at all. Fixed.
Weapons are back in the market data. The price scanner was quietly losing about half the item list every cycle, including almost every weapon, because it hit the data provider's rate limit and treated the refusal as "no prices exist". It now slows down, retries, and keeps the previous prices for anything it still cannot fetch, so items stop disappearing.
Crafting rankings no longer chase fake listings. One player listing an item at an absurd price in a single city used to take the top spot in Crafting Profits, the Top-N Ranker and the Refining Lab. Prices far above what the item fetches everywhere else are now ignored.
The "stale data" warning tells the truth. It was reading timestamps in your local timezone, so depending where you live it either flagged every card as old or hid genuinely old prices.

🔄 Client v1.6.16 — auto-update finally works. Update by hand ONE last time.

Please update your capture client manually one last time from GitHub Releases. The built-in auto-updater has never worked: it compared version numbers wrongly and always concluded "up to date". v1.6.16 fixes it, but a client that is already installed cannot fix itself, so this is the last manual update. From v1.6.16 on, new versions install automatically when the client starts (and hourly while it runs), and it restarts itself.
The client now says what it decided. The console shows "[Update] Up to date" or the install progress, so you can see it working.
New "Get the Client" tab in the top navigation: the download, the latest version, a four-step setup and your own client's connection status in one place, instead of a button hidden in Profile.
The site shows your client version. The capture-client status line under Chest Log, and the new tab, show the connected build.

🧾 Client v1.6.15 — loot on arrival, no more corpse "captures"

Update your capture client to v1.6.15 (GitHub Releases). Bodies already lying in a zone when you entered it were being forgotten by the client, so items you took from them could go unrecorded until your next zone change. Zoning into a battlefield to loot was exactly the case that failed. Fixed.
Opening a corpse no longer creates a bogus chest capture. Only real chests are captured now, so Loot Buyer and accountability captures stay clean.
Bank and guild vault captures wait for late item details, so fewer items show up as unknown.
Reminder: start the client before you log in, or pass any zone gate early. Your own pickups are attributed only after the game has told the client who you are.

📋 Chest logs no longer go missing

Chest logs are kept for 7 days and fetched on demand. If you opened a chest Log tab in game before pressing the button — or while the site wasn't open — the batches were being thrown away. Now Capture Chest Log pulls everything the server is holding for your account and keeps listening, and the same happens when you open Accountability.
You can see whether your capture client is connected. A line under the Chest Log header shows which account the site is signed in as and which account the client is connected as — so a mismatch is obvious instead of an empty panel.
Clearer buttons. "Capture Chest Contents" and "Capture Chest Log" replace the two identical "Start Capturing" buttons.
Client v1.6.15 (soon): looting a corpse no longer shows up as a "chest capture", and large bank tabs no longer lose half their items during capture.

🐉 Dragonfire — item names fixed everywhere, and a client update you need

Update your capture client. Dragonfire renumbered Albion's internal item table, so any client older than v1.6.11 reports the wrong item for almost everything it captures. The site is already corrected — your client isn't until you grab the new build from GitHub Releases.
Item names, weights and prices realigned. Nearly every internal item id moved, so loot logs, chest scans and market data were naming the wrong item. All of it has been rebuilt against the new patch data, including 155 new Dragonfire items and the dragon-leather crafting lines.
Combat Meter names are correct again. The same renumber hit abilities and enemies, so the ability drill-down and per-target rows were showing another spell's or mob's name. Both rebuilt.
Two long-standing client bugs fixed (v1.6.12). Market buy-order scans were never being uploaded — broken since April, unrelated to Dragonfire. And destroying an item or merging a stack could add things you never picked up to your loot log.

🔗 Share links stop hitting "too many requests"

Shared links open first time. A viewer's first click could dead-end on a rate-limit error that wrongly claimed the link had been revoked. Share links now have their own budget, retry on their own with a visible countdown, and only say "revoked" when they actually are.
Big shared reports show their values. A combined session with 500+ unique items used to render every price as a dash for anyone opening the link.
Alliance tag sits where the avatar was — same size and prominence, so every player's name starts at the same place.

Alliance instead of initials. Each player card now shows the player's alliance where the two-letter avatar used to be.
Players who looted nothing are hidden by default — they still show up if you search their name, so the list only contains people who actually picked something up.

One-click image card. Hit 📸 Image on the meter and it renders the current fight or the whole session into a clean PNG — weapon icons, colored bars, totals, active DPS/HPS, fame, silver looted, deaths, party size — then copy it straight into Discord or download it. Same flow as the Loot Logger's missing-item image reports.

☠ Combat Meter — enemies are named now

Your targets have names. Where a fight used to say "Enemy 1, Enemy 2, Enemy 3", it now says War Chief, Keeper Ranger, Crystal Spider — with a Boss / Miniboss / Champion tag where the game gives one. Needs a fight recorded with capture client v1.6.9 or newer.
The fight header names the main enemy too, taken from what you actually hit rather than guessed from what dropped. Kill several things and it shows the most notable one plus a count of the rest.
5,186 mobs covered, matched from the game's own data — and cross-checked against the names the loot logger already uses, so the same mob reads the same everywhere (4,293 checked, 0 mismatches).
Nothing is invented. If a mob isn't in the table, the row keeps its raw id and says so. Fights recorded with older clients look exactly as they did before.

🧭 Combat Meter — clearer session view (from your feedback)

Session length now means what you'd expect. It was adding up just the seconds you were in combat, so a night out came back looking a few minutes long. It's now the real time from your first fight to your last — walking and travelling included. The old number is still there as Combat time, and a single fight is labelled Fight length.
Fights are grouped by map and dungeon. Instead of one long list of every pull, you get a collapsible header per place — with its tier, faction, fight count and total damage — that opens to the fights inside.
The confusing percentages are named. "Uptime" and a bare "%" sat next to each other measuring completely different things. They're now Active % (how much of the fight you were actually attacking) and Dmg share (your slice of the group's damage), each with a hover explanation.
"Taken" is now "Damage Taken", and damage / healing / damage-taken sit together directly under the duration.
No more demo data. Opening the tab now just asks for your combat log instead of showing made-up numbers.

🔍 Combat Meter — ability & target breakdowns

Click any player to see exactly what they did. The row expands into two tables: by ability (damage, healing, hits and share for each spell they used) and by target (how much of their damage went into each enemy). Requires a fight recorded with capture client v1.6.8 or newer.
Abilities are named — "Crescent Slash", "Thunder Axe", "Rending Strike" — matched from the game's own data. The game doesn't publish an official ability-id table, so each name shows its raw id beside it; if one ever looks wrong, the damage and hit counts next to it are still exact.
An "Auto-attacks & untyped" row accounts for everything the game reports without an ability id, so the percentages always add up to your real total instead of quietly falling short.
Boss-only damage at a glance. The fight's main enemy is starred, with a line showing how much of that player's damage went into it — the number you actually want when you're comparing a boss pull.
Enemies are ranked by damage and named where we can work it out from your loot; the game only identifies them by a temporary id, so the rest show as "Enemy 2", "Enemy 3" and so on.
Older recordings still work exactly as before — they just don't expand.

🗡️ Combat Meter — rebuilt encounter view (maps, enemies, real DPS)

The DPS number you were reading was misleading. It divided your damage by the whole fight, including every second you spent running, repositioning or waiting on cooldowns — across real captures that's about 87% of the time. The meter now leads with total damage and adds Active DPS (damage ÷ time you were actually swinging) plus an Uptime % column. Sort by any of them. On a real 12-player fight this moved the hardest-hitting player from 4th to 1st.
Every fight now says where it happened and what you fought. Instead of a bare zone number you get "T7 · Undead · Open world — Sunfang Wasteland", plus the boss or mob name when we can work it out from your loot log (War Chief, Dark Paladin, Crystal Spider…). Upload your loot .txt alongside the combat file — you can select both at once — or just stay logged in and it uses your saved loot sessions.
Bars are coloured by weapon line (nature staff green, sword amber, holy staff grey…) so the same player looks the same in every fight, and the role badge no longer mislabels people — it reads your actual weapon instead of guessing from damage taken.
Trash pulls stay out of the way. Short, low-damage fights fold behind a single "show N trash pulls" row, and every fight chip has a weight bar so the fights that mattered stand out.
The timeline is readable. Per-second combat data is extremely spiky, so the graph now shows a 5-second rolling average by default — one click switches back to raw if you're inspecting a burst window.
Works on combat logs you've already captured — no client update needed.

🛡 Capture client v1.6.6 — performance & stability hardening

The client should never cost you frames — this release makes sure of it. Fixed a disk-write storm that could occur if the relay server was temporarily unreachable during active play, hardened the network decoder against malformed data after game patches (no more potential memory/CPU spikes), and rate-limited console output under error conditions.
Capture can no longer be stalled by one busy background task — the client now always keeps at least two CPU threads available while still staying lightweight on gaming machines.
Self-updates as usual — no setup changes needed.

📊 Refining Lab: Market Overview — see what's actually for sale

New "Market Overview" mode answers "which material is worth buying and refining right now" — a per-family, per-tier grid showing raw buy price (+cheapest city), units actually listed for sale (real order-book depth), raw insta-sell value, refined sell price (+best city), net profit per refine, ROI, silver/focus, and how many refines the listed supply supports. Family ranking cards compare wood vs ore vs fiber vs hide vs rock at a glance; click any row for the full per-city breakdown.
Per-price freshness dots — every price cell shows the exact age of that price at that city (green ≤10m / amber ≤1h / red older). Run the capture client and open a city's market in-game to refresh its numbers within seconds.
Prices load straight from the server — no need to open Market Browser first. Also fixed: the sell-strategy toggle (sell order vs instant) now actually applies to all Refining Lab rankings.

🔄 Item names re-synced after the latest game patches

Item IDs drifted, so some loot was showing the wrong name. The game renumbered part of its item list across the July patches. Everything you normally loot and sell — gear, resources, consumables, food, mounts, artifacts — was unaffected and always named correctly. The drift hit dungeon maps, dungeon tokens, journals and cosmetics. The item map is rebuilt from the July 27 game data and verified against real captured loot.
This fixes names for everyone, no client update needed — the server re-resolves item IDs on upload, so older clients get corrected names too.
Nothing else broke. Full audit of the capture client found every loot, chest, vault, death and trade opcode still correct after the patches — no gaps in your logs.

🗄 Accountability: incomplete chest-log detection

The check warns you when log evidence is incomplete. The in-game chest log shows ~100 rows per page and only viewed pages get captured — if the selected logs leave holes in the session, a prominent warning lists the uncovered periods so honest depositors don't get flagged as thieves. Page back through the older log pages in game and re-run to fill the holes.
Log batches are labeled by the time range they cover (not just when captured), and the next client update stamps each log page with the vault tab it belongs to.

Transport: no more invented prices in historical mode; smart route-risk defaults per route class (Royal→Royal 0% via Travel Planner, Caerleon/BM ~10%, Brecilien ~15% — drag to override); CSV export fixed; Mammoth's +8 slots actually applied; honest confidence badges in live mode; the ranker now uses YOUR budget.
Crafting Profits: the falsely-negative "Scan All Recipes" landing is gone; clicking a ranked card opens the RIGHT item (enchants included); sub-recipe savings is real math (RRR at every level + station fee); price-age dots on every price; location bonuses corrected vs game data.
Repair rewritten on real item values (weapons ≠ helmets now, enchant ×2/level, quality removed — it never affected repair cost). 💰 Looter's cut + accountability report upgrades

Looter's cut: in the focused looter audit, set an adjustable % of total looted value the looter may keep — the check deducts it before flagging, so a looter within their cut shows a green "within cut" verdict and only excess value is flagged.
Report shows the session date & time, player cards sort by missing loot value (dead-with-gear players no longer top the list), and each item row shows who it was looted from (⚔ victim, with full detail on hover).

No more mode toggle — the check decides by evidence. Every pickup is covered in order: your own logged deposits → captured trades (credited even if the banker deposited elsewhere) → deposit surplus (a teammate deposited more than they picked up — that excess covers handoffs the trade tracker didn't see) → tab-scan pool when no chest logs are selected. Flagged = covered by nothing.
🔍 Audit looters separately. Each looter card gets an "Audit separately" button — a new tab preloads the same session with only that looter under audit, checked against the chest logs of the chest(s) they banked in.
Fairer and stricter at once. A player the log proves deposited everything is never diluted to cover a non-depositor, traded loot can't double-count, and handing loot to the banker now shows as 100% (📤), not 0%.

🎨 Combat Meter — stable colors, smoother live chart, faster history

Colors no longer shuffle. Each player is colored by a deterministic name hash instead of rank order, so the same person keeps the same color across every fight, the session total, and the chart — even at 20 players.
No more chart flicker. The live timeline updates in place instead of rebuilding itself every ~3 seconds.
Faster loading, more history. The fight list loads instantly now (per-second detail loads only for the fight you open), and a new "Load older fights" button reaches your full retained history, not just the most recent 25.

Sessions are properly separate now. Grouping used to be a rough time-gap guess recomputed on every visit; each finished fight is now assigned to a stable session the moment it's recorded, so boundaries stay consistent.
Delete a whole session in one click (🗑 on the session chip), or Clear all to wipe your entire history at once — both two-click confirm. Per-fight delete is still there for one-off cleanup.

Client v1.6.2: instant capture for regular VPNs too

Regular VPNs (NordVPN, Mullvad, …) covered too. v1.6.1 made ExitLag-style tools start instantly; v1.6.2 completes it — once tunnel-adapter capture proves needed, the client remembers and captures from the very first packet on every later launch. Every VPN user pays the discovery wait at most once, ever.
Tip: start the client before the game (or pass one gate after connecting) — the game only announces your location on zone entry, so market-price uploads and 📍 zone tags wait for your first transition. Loot, chest, combat and trade capture work immediately regardless.

Client v1.6.1: instant capture with ExitLag / VPNs

No more 2-minute wait. The capture client now detects ExitLag-style tools (ExitLag, WTFast, NoPing, Mudfish) at startup and switches to kernel capture immediately — previously anything looted in the first ~2 minutes with ExitLag running could be missed. It also remembers when kernel capture was needed, so every later launch starts instantly.
More accurate too. Fixed an edge case where kernel capture and regular capture could briefly overlap and double-count loot and combat events.
Clients update automatically — nothing to do.

Accountability: tier system — chest logs authoritative, tab scan is fallback

Chest logs are now the ultimate decision-maker. When chest-log captures are selected (Tier 1), only they determine whether an item was deposited — the tab-scan snapshot can no longer inflate or override them. Previously the "deposited by anyone" math took the larger of the two sources, so a tab scan showing 5 swords could silently hide 2 missing ones when the log only recorded 3.
Tab scan is now labeled Tier 2 (fallback). Use it only when you can physically open the chest but lack chest-log permission. The UI now says so explicitly and shows an amber reminder when both are selected at once.
Chest logs were already cross-deduplicated — client-captured and manually pasted logs for the same page collapse to one automatically.

📤 Accountability — "traded to the banker" credit

Loot handed off in a trade is no longer flagged missing. The client now records player-to-player trades, and the accountability check credits a looter's pickup that they traded to the banker/another member — shown as 📤 Traded with the recipient, instead of "missing".
Works for any trader — update the client to v1.6.0. The partner is now named whether they opened the trade or you did, so any looter running the client credits their own handoffs (the loot-master doesn't have to). Shared reports keep the credits.

📦 Accountability — designate players as Looters

Mark your loot-carriers as 📦 Looters and their pickups are excluded from the check — no more false "missing" flags for the player who banks everyone's loot across multiple chests, and everyone else's numbers get correctly credited.
Reversible and visible: looters stay in the list with an amber badge, an ↩ Include again button, and a summary line naming every excluded player.
Permission-aware: on shared reports only the editor link can change looters (saved for all viewers); read-only viewers see badges only. Selections are remembered per session and carried into share links.

💰 Crafting Profits — fixed the "everything shows a loss" bug

Craft profit now uses the sell-order (list) price. It was pricing your craft against buy orders (insta-sell) — but crafted gear almost never has buy orders, so revenue read as ~0 and nearly everything showed a loss, even with focus. Now it values your craft at the real list price (taxed 4% + 2.5% setup), so viable crafts show green. Fixed across the profit summary, per-city Net Profit, the heatmap and both Top-N rankers.
Confidence badges & price-trend analytics are back on (they were paused since May for database work) — gated to auto-resume as the DB returns to a healthy size. Live prices were never affected.

🎯 Crafting accuracy — correct city bonuses & artifact material costs

City crafting specialties fixed. The +15% bonus was mis-assigned for almost every city (maces had no bonus city, Brecilien had none, Caerleon was wrong and inflated to 20%). Now matches the game's Local Production Bonus table — so Top-N, the city heatmap and "best city to craft" advice are correct.
Armor helmets & shoes were being treated as chest pieces for the city bonus — fixed across plate, leather and cloth.
Artifacts no longer get the return-rate discount — they're fully consumed, so costing them like refundable resources was overstating artifact-craft profit by up to ~43%. Fixed.

● Recording / ▶ Start recording button — pause the meter and nothing new is saved (enforced server-side, remembered per account).
Healers see healing: if you healed more than you dealt, the meter opens on the Healing view with a matching header — no more zero-bar "Damage" screens. Your explicit mode choice still wins.
Click any player row to focus the graph on them — their line is emphasized, others fade, and the header names them. Click again to unfocus.

🛡️ Client v1.5.0 — ExitLag/VPN kernel capture + two long-standing bugs fixed

ExitLag/VPN capture that actually works: a new kernel-level mode reads game packets inside the Windows network stack, below any tunnel driver. Automatic after 2 minutes of silence, or force it with run-vpn-mode.bat (run as Administrator).
"Authenticated as …" printing over and over was a bug — the client reconnected every 61 seconds since April, dropping live combat frames each time. Now it connects once per session.
Installed to Program Files? The client couldn't save its log, loot files or your login there — that's why the device-auth prompt kept coming back. Files now fall back to %LOCALAPPDATA%\AlbionDataClient automatically.

Sessions: fights group into play sessions — view the whole session merged (Σ) or any single fight, and remove fights with ✕. The timeline is now a real chart with axes, numbers and tooltips (per-second lines for a fight, per-fight bars for a session).
Crafting: the confusing hideout Power Level / Core % inputs are gone — enter the Return Rate your station shows in-game and we use it exactly. Refine planner now reflects that hideout refining is a flat bonus power level never scales.
Playing through ExitLag/VPN? Loot logger & damage meter capture now works — and it's automatic: just update the client and run it normally. It detects the tunnel by itself and remembers your game server.

🔧 Crafting numbers corrected — recipes now come straight from game data

Big accuracy fix. An audit found most stored recipes didn't match the game (wrong secondary materials, missing artifact components, wrong ratios). All recipes, focus costs and item values are now generated directly from the game's own data files — plus previously missing items (war gloves, Royal sets, gathering gear) are craftable in the calculators now.
Also fixed: Martlock/Bridgewatch refining specialties were swapped; insta-sell profits were taxed 2.5% too high everywhere; the Refining Lab now includes the station fee. Expect different — more honest — profit numbers today.

Recipients now see the same side you shared. The Friendly-guilds picker only lived in your browser, so people opening your share link got an auto-detected perspective that could differ from yours. New shares carry your selection — the viewer's check and guild picker start from exactly the perspective you shared (they can still adjust it locally). Updating a share via the editor link carries the editor's perspective too.

⚔️ Loot Logger: deaths in uploaded files now show the killer — and the gear they died in

Killer names from the killboard. Files from the vanilla loot logger don't record deaths, so death cards used to say "unknown". Now, when a session's battles are matched on the killboard, each death fills in automatically: killer + guild (marked ⚔ killboard) plus a "Worn at death" list — weapon, armor, mount and item power. On a real 480-event ZvZ upload, 65 of 66 deaths resolved.
Zero effect on accountability. This is a display-only layer added after the check renders — deposits, missing items and verifications are computed exactly as before. If the killboard is unreachable, cards simply stay as they were.
Honest limits: tiny skirmishes (under ~3 kills) never form battle reports, and killboard history fades after ~30 days — those deaths keep "unknown".

Accountability: one button instead of three

Run Check / Re-run Check / Merge & Verify are now a single button. They all ran the same check anyway (chest logs are auto-selected and always merged). Run Check turns into 🔄 Re-run Check once a result is shown — use it after pasting or capturing a newer chest log, e.g. when updating a shared report via its editor link.

Accountability: duplicate chest-log batches no longer double-count deposits

Same log page selected twice? Counted once. Selecting both a client-captured chest-log batch and a manual paste of the same in-game log page used to count every deposit twice — inflating "in chest" numbers and hiding partially-missing deposits. Duplicate entries (same player, item, quantity and second) are now merged across all selected batches; withdrawals too.
Nothing else changes. Batches that don't overlap count exactly as before, and two genuinely identical deposits inside one log still count twice. When duplicates were skipped, the "Chest log merged" banner tells you how many.

⚔️ Loot Logger: Battle Reports — your session's battleboard, one click away

Sessions now link their killboard battles. When you open or upload a loot session, a new ⚔️ Battle reports bar automatically detects which killboard battle(s) the session belongs to and links the full albionbb battleboard — player counts, kills, fame, per-player damage and comps.
Available before and after accountability. The bar sits above the session summary and again at the top of the accountability result. Multi-battle sessions also get a combined report link.
Works up to ~a month back. Detection scans your guild's killboard battle history (validated against the session's actual players), with a per-player fallback for guildless sessions. Hover a battle chip for the guild-vs-guild kill breakdown. Farm sessions with no PvP simply show no bar.

⚔️ New: Build Finder (Beta) — proven builds from real kill data

Find builds that actually win. The new Build Finder tab (Game Tools) ranks builds mined from the Europe killboard — every row is aggregated from real kills and deaths, ordered by a statistically-adjusted win rate. No generated builds, no hand-picked lists.
Filter by content, IP bracket, weapon, and time window. Solo/1v1, duos, small groups, large fights — plus two unique "most-worn" categories mined from victims: gathering escape builds and solo PvE farmer builds.
Expand any build to see the food, potion, and mount players actually run with it, where else it shows up, and a live cost estimate from market prices (cheapest city per piece).
Beta note: the dataset accumulates from the day the crawler started — rankings get more trustworthy every day. Small-sample builds are flagged "emerging".

New name, new look. The site is now Albion Terminal, with a fresh header: a gold shield-and-chart logo, a cleaner brand lockup, and a matching favicon.
Live Flips retired for now. The real-time flip feed saw little use, so its tab is benched. Live price sync is unaffected. It may return later in improved form.

Accountability: editable shares — refresh a report as deposits land

Sharing now gives you two links. A 👁 view link (read-only, for anyone) and a private ✏️ editor link for trusted officers.
Officers can update the report later. Open the editor link → paste/capture the newer in-game chest log → Re-run check → ⟳ Update this share, and the same view link now shows the latest deposits for everyone. No account needed.
The fight stays locked — only chest deposits/captures get refreshed, never who looted what. Each update keeps a backup of the previous version.

Accountability: exact guild filter, chest-log tiebreaker, cleaner state

Picked guilds are now exact. Selecting specific guilds in the Friendly-guilds control holds only those guilds accountable. It used to silently widen the pick to every guild in the same alliance, so an alliance-mate guild you didn't choose leaked in as friendly and wasn't hidden. Players with no captured guild aren't auto-friendly anymore either.
Chest log breaks the tie in 👤 Per-player mode. When two players loot the same item and only one deposits, the capture snapshot (just a count) used to credit both. Now a logged deposit is matched to its actual depositor first, and only the leftover is shared across un-logged looters — so the depositor is ✓ verified and the slacker is correctly flagged missing.
Cleaner state. Uploading a new file, or leaving the Loot Logger tab and coming back, now clears the previous accountability result instead of leaving it lingering.

Accountability: "deposited by anyone" mode + wider deposit window

Loot banked by a loot-master now counts. The check no longer flags a player as missing just because an officer deposited their loot. New default 🏦 Deposited by anyone mode credits loot that reached the chest, whoever banked it; a 👤 Per-player deposits toggle restores the strict "everyone deposits their own" rule. On a real ZvZ log this took verified deposits from 37 to ~400 item-lines.
Deposits now count up to 3 days after the fight (was 24h), since loot is often banked over the following days.

Accountability: paste a chest log manually — no client needed

Copy your chest Log in-game and paste it in. New box in the Chest Log Captures card: open the chest Log tab → Copy to clipboard → paste. It cross-checks against your loot session just like a client capture — no client, no capture, no officer-permission caveat. Paste several (different tabs/chests) and they add up.
Deposit vs withdraw is read from the +/− amount, so it's exact — someone who pulled loot out isn't mistaken for someone who deposited.

Accountability: chest-log deposits now count (no more false "missing")

If the chest log shows someone deposited, they're credited — not flagged missing. Client-captured deposit logs weren't being counted (they were treated as "unconfirmed"), so players who actually deposited still showed as missing. Accountability: instant guild re-tag, enemies hidden by default, sturdier Share

Adding a guild is instant now. Adding or removing a "Friendly guild" used to re-analyze and re-download the whole session (slow, and it could fail to fetch). It now re-tags friendly/enemy instantly from data already loaded — no refetch.
Enemy players are hidden by default. The result no longer lists enemy / other-guild looters mixed in. There's a "Show N enemy players" toggle if you want them, and searching/filtering still finds them.
Share keeps working after a failed re-run. A failed re-analysis no longer disables the Share button for your last good result.

Accountability: one guild picker, shareable log-only checks, no duplicate chest logs

One guild selector. The accountability result had two stacked guild controls (a display filter and the "Friendly guilds" perspective picker) that conflicted. Removed the redundant filter — the "Friendly guilds" picker is now the single guild control, and you can still filter by guild name in the search box.
Share works after a log-only check. Running accountability from chest logs alone (no chest capture) left the 🔗 Share button dead. You can now share a log-only result.
No more duplicate chest logs. Opening a guild chest's different storage tabs re-captured the same shared deposit/withdraw log, showing identical-looking duplicate entries that double-counted deposits. Identical logs are now collapsed into one.

Loot Logger: remember your guild

Set your guild as the default. Click the ★ next to the guild picker to make your guild the default — every session you open (including shared links) then starts from your side automatically, not the biggest guild. Click ★ again to clear; the dropdown still overrides per session.

Loot Logger: easier multi-guild selection & tidier layout

Add guilds from a dropdown. Selecting several guilds — both in the session view and in the Accountability "Friendly guilds" picker — now works by picking from a dropdown; each pick becomes a removable chip and "+ Add another guild" lets you stack more. No more Ctrl/Cmd-clicking: view and compare any set of guilds together as one group, with a one-click clear.
The Deaths section stays put. The Deaths panel and its Friendly/Enemy sub-lists now start collapsed and remember how you left them — choosing a guild or alliance no longer keeps re-opening them.
Uploads keep the Share button. If saving an uploaded log to the server hiccups, you now get a clear reason and a one-click Retry Share (or Log in to Share) instead of the option quietly disappearing.

Hardened the automated database backup. Reworked how the nightly backup runs so it no longer risks slowing the site, and moved it to a single off-peak run — part of an ongoing reliability push.
Security update. Patched the email/account dependency stack (closes several advisories) and switched to reproducible, audited builds with automated dependency + secret scanning on every change.
Code quality. Started extracting core calculations (crafting/economy math) into a dedicated, unit-tested module — no change to any result you see, just a cleaner foundation for future features.

Accountability: check multiple guilds at once

The "Friendly guilds" selector is now multi-select — Ctrl/Cmd-click to hold more than one guild accountable in a single check (e.g. a capped main guild + a second guild in the same alliance). Loot thieves across both surface together.

Selecting one guild (or none) behaves exactly as before.

Loot Logger is now upload-first

Retired the live-session recording toolbar and the saved-sessions browser. The workflow is now: save a log with the Coldtouch client at the end of your content, then upload the .txt — the tab opens straight into Upload mode with the same report viewer and Accountability check.
Loot Logger now has two modes: Upload File (default) and Accountability.
Share links never expire. A shared loot-session link used to stop working after 30 days; shared links are now permanent (the loot data was always kept indefinitely).
Added a Delete this share button on the shared-session page, shown to the link's owner (or an admin). Deleting revokes the link for everyone while keeping the loot data, so you can re-share later.

Uploaded loot logs now save in one backend transaction and get their session id back quickly, so the Upload report can show Share and Accountability actions without waiting for the session list to refresh.
The upload flow now shows a saving state, reports server-save failures, refreshes the Accountability dropdown after save, and waits before pre-selecting the new session.

Startup and backend stability hardening

The frontend now boots its startup initializer exactly once after scripts load, restoring the normal startup path for tab handlers, initial data loading, live sync, portfolio render, and Favorites hydration.
Corrupted Favorites data in browser storage no longer crashes startup or Favorites tab actions; invalid stored data is ignored safely.
SpreadStats stuck-run recovery now invalidates stale async runs before a replacement can write, matching the backend analytics generation-token guard.
Backend maintenance jobs now use per-item historical queries instead of broad tier/prefix scans, reducing the risk that stats, analytics, or price-reference refreshes freeze the public service.
Automatic SpreadStats, analytics, and historical price-reference refreshes are disabled by default until those enrichment jobs run outside the public web process; existing cached stats continue serving.
Routine WAL checkpoints now avoid reader-waiting modes, and live NATS prices remain buffered for retry if SQLite is briefly busy.

Stability fix — DiskSafety no longer re-compacts already-free SQLite pages

Root cause: the live DB file was 15.3 GB, but ~6.3 GB was already SQLite freelist pages. checkDiskUsage() used total file pages, so it launched aggressive compaction after every restart even though live pages were closer to 9 GB. Compaction then hit 60 s event-loop stalls and systemd restarted the service.
Fix: DiskSafety now thresholds on live pages (page_count - freelist_count) and logs live, total, and free-page sizes. Compaction, analytics, spreadStats, and priceRefCache now avoid overlapping, and compaction uses smaller chunks with yields between read/write/delete phases.

🛡️ May stability arc — better-sqlite3 migration + compaction rewrite + event-loop watchdog

The migration (May 1-3): dropped node-sqlite3 entirely in favour of better-sqlite3. The async-callback orphan bug class that caused 44+ unplanned restarts/day is now structurally impossible. Site went from ~94 unplanned restarts in 36 hours to zero.
The emergency (May 3-4 overnight): a hung site root-caused to compactOldData() loading 30 M rows synchronously into one transaction. Rewritten as chunked async with setImmediate yields, RSS guard, and wal_checkpoint(TRUNCATE). One-time offline cleanup with bulk-copy keepers shrunk the DB 19.7 GB → 11.7 GB and process memory 9.7 GB → 191 MB.
The hardening (May 4 afternoon): classified transient network errors so a flaky AODP timeout no longer wipes in-flight compaction state. Hardened the 30 s timeout middleware against destroyed sockets. Added a libuv-level event-loop watchdog (monitorEventLoopDelay) that warns at 5 s and aborts at 60 s — catches sync wedges that the JS event loop itself can't observe.
The follow-up (May 4 evening): the new watchdog caught its first wedge on its first cycle — a 49.4 s sync block in computeSpreadStats's big GROUP BY aggregate. Fixed by chunking the aggregate across 10 item_id ranges; each chunk now completes in 1-3 s with event-loop yields between. Headroom restored.
The chain reaction (May 4 later evening): the watchdog caught two more wedges of the same anti-pattern — refreshPriceRefCache (10-min interval, 22.6 s wedge) and concurrent collisions with computeAnalytics. Applied identical chunking to both, plus a mutex flag so the three heavy aggregates (spreadStats, priceRefCache, analytics) defer 90s and retry rather than colliding on the same SQLite connection. Bumped statsDb page cache 16→128 MB so each chunk's working set stays warm.
Backlog cleanup (May 4 later): reduced price_hourly retention from 30 days to 14 days — at ~8 M new rows/day, that cuts the steady-state table size in half. Charts requesting more than 14 days now show hourly OHLC bars for the last 14 days and daily-resolution data for older periods (the historical price line plot was already mixed-resolution from price_averages). Also fixed an analytics scheduling bug that was firing the job twice within 5 minutes after every restart.
The real root cause (May 4 final pass): 23 s wedges persisted even after chunking + mutex + larger cache. CLI EXPLAIN of the same query on the same chunk completed in 1.78 s — the difference was WAL frame traversal cost on cross-connection reads. NATS flushes between cycles refill the WAL toward its 64 MB cap; each subsequent read pays an O(WAL frames) per-page penalty. Fix: lower wal_autocheckpoint 1000→500 pages, force wal_checkpoint(RESTART) at the end of every priceRefCache cycle, and force another at the start of every spreadStats cycle. Verified at 18:43:55 — spreadStats completes in 25 s with WAL log=25 frames, zero EventLoop warnings, all flags clean.
Site stability over the last 24 h: NRestarts=0, 0 FATAL, all HTTP routes 200 OK at <300 ms.

⚙️ Stability fix — site no longer cycles every ~17 minutes

Service had been restarting roughly every 17 minutes (63 times in 22 hours) due to a misclassification in yesterday's stability work. SQLITE_BUSY — a normal, transient lock-contention error — was being treated as database corruption and triggering an immediate process abort. Each restart began a fresh cache rebuild under the same load, hit BUSY again, aborted again. Self-perpetuating loop.
Fix: SQLITE_BUSY and SQLITE_LOCKED are no longer fatal. They log loudly and let SQLite's built-in busy_timeout retry. Real corruption (SQLITE_CORRUPT, SQLITE_IOERR, SQLITE_MISUSE) still aborts as designed, and the per-transaction 90s watchdog still catches genuine wedges.
Verified post-deploy through a queue-depth-3954 contention burst (the exact load that caused 8 FATAL aborts in the prior 6 hours) — it drained cleanly without restart. Service has been stable since 18:25 UTC.

🔋 Guild Syphon Check tab

New tab for guild officers — paste the in-game Siphoned Energy log directly from the clipboard, and the page parses every transaction, aggregates per-player totals, and flags anyone who withdrew more than they deposited.
Output: a summary card row (date range, transactions, players, totals), a red Owe syphon table sorted by deficit, a collapsible "everyone else" section, and a Discord-ready summary you can copy with one click and drop in your officer channel.
Pure client-side — no log uploads, no backend, no authentication. Last paste persists in localStorage so a refresh doesn't lose work. Min-deficit filter to ignore trivial -10 entries.

🛡️ Accountability check: chest log overrides proportional capture math

The bug: a player's row could show both ✗ missing AND ✓ verified by chest log on the same item — contradictory and confusing. Reported on a real session for LaboringWolf's T4_SHOES_LEATHER_ROYAL@3.
Why: the two flags were computed from independent sources. The ✓ verified flag read per-player rows from the chest log batches (ground truth, every entry has playerName). The ✗ missing math came from chest captures (a snapshot of items in the chest at the moment you opened it) and used a proportional-share formula across all guild members. If a guild member deposited an item AFTER the snapshot, or the snapshot only covered some items, the proportional math could allocate "missing" to a player who actually deposited correctly.
The fix: when the chest log has a deposit row for (player, item), use that count directly as their deposited qty. The proportional capture-based math is now a fallback for items the chest log doesn't cover (no batch selected, or item not present in the selected batches). Chest log is ground truth; capture is partial.
Verified against the actual LaboringWolf session: the contradiction is gone (now missing=0, verified=true, fullyVerified=true); all spot-checked items still behave correctly (trash still missing — no chest log row, falls back to proportional, capture has 0 → correctly still flagged).

⚡ Go client v1.3.4 — ZvZ perf + NATS connection leak fix

Five small low-risk edits on the per-packet/per-event hot path that fires hardest during PvP:
- Hoisted the mapstructure decode hook + reflect.TypeOf calls from per-call closures to package-level (was reallocating per decoded event at 50–200/sec during ZvZ)
- Reuse the uint8→string param map via sync.Pool instead of make(map[string]interface{}) per call — the dominant per-event allocation source
- Cache source IPv4 as uint32 on the listener — game server IP never moves mid-session, so skip the per-packet .String() alloc + albionstate mutex grab on >99.9% of packets
- Drop four log.Tracef/log.Trace calls that fired per packet — args evaluated even with trace logging off
- Reslice the unreliable-packet header drop instead of make+copy — same semantics, no alloc
NATS connection leak fix — the dispatcher rebuilt the entire uploader chain (including a brand-new nats.Connect) for EVERY dispatched message, leaking a TCP connection per message in the NATS path and defeating HTTP keep-alive in the POW path. Now reuses per-target uploaders via a small RWMutex-guarded map keyed by the resolved URL string (typically 1–4 keys per session).
Validated against a real PvP session before tagging — no regressions, no freezes during the run. Recommended upgrade for any guild member running v1.3.x.

🛡️ Item-ID mismatch fixed: backend now authoritative

The bug: a stale itemmap.json in an older Go client (April 11 build) was producing wrong enchant levels (e.g. T6.3 Knight Armor showing as T6.4) because the April 13 game patch shifted ~75% of item IDs by exactly one position. Wrong strings got uploaded via .txt and the backend stored them as-is.
The fix: backend now loads itemmap.json at startup and re-resolves every uploaded item from the raw numericId using the canonical map. Stale-client uploads get normalized to the correct itemId on ingest. WS loot events, WS chest-log batches, and TXT uploads (when col 11 = numericId is present) all benefit.
Backwards-compatible: old 10-column .txt files still parse — numericId defaults to 0, backend skips re-resolution and uses the client's string. New uploads from updated Go clients get the full re-resolution treatment.
Phase 2 (DB backfill of historical wrong data) is intentionally NOT run yet — most affected rows came from .txt uploads where numeric_id was never captured, so we can't re-resolve them. Going forward, all new uploads are clean.

🗺️ Real zone names — found in cluster/world.xml!

The names were in the bin dumps all along — just in a file we hadn't checked. cluster/world.xml (13 MB) has every cluster's displayname attribute alongside the id we already had. 1423 entries covering every numeric zone ID + named special clusters.
User's actual zones from today's testing now resolve correctly:
- 3312 → Battlebrae Plain (T5 Highland Outland)
- 3348 → Battlebrae Grassland (T7 Highland Outland)
- @HIDEOUT@3312@<UUID> → Hideout in Battlebrae Plain
- 2000 → Bridgewatch, 0000 → Thetford, 1000 → Lymhurst, 3004 → Martlock, 4000 → Fort Sterling, 3003 → Caerleon, 5000 → Brecilien
All 4 display sites light up automatically — death tooltips, missing-item hover tooltip, rich pickup-detail tooltip, player-card "died with" preview tooltip. They already called formatZone() — just had to swap the pass-through stub for the lookup logic.
Verified end-to-end in browser preview: 16 test cases (royal cities, user's zones, hideouts, unknown numeric fallbacks, named clusters, edge cases) — all green, no console errors.
Future-proof: regenerate zonemap.js via tmp_check/generate_zonemap.py whenever ao-bin-dumps publishes new clusters (expansions, new outland zones).

🛑 Zone-name lookup shelved (auto-derived labels were misleading) (RESOLVED)

Auto-derived labels removed. The "T5 Highland Keeper Outland Q5"–style descriptions generated from cluster filenames turned out to confuse more than help — players don't recognize them as zone names. Display reverts to raw cluster IDs (3312, @HIDEOUT@3312@…) which is at least unambiguous, until we source real names like "Bridgewatch" or "Holy Lake".
Infrastructure preserved. The 474-entry zonemap.js + formatZone() helper + display-site wiring all stay in place. formatZone() is currently a pass-through; swapping it back to the lookup body is one edit when we have real names.
Research underway: agents firing now to find community-maintained zone-name lists on GitHub, deeper-search ao-bin-dumps for anything missed, and investigate whether unhandled packet opcodes carry the display name (most promising lead: evClusterInfoUpdate, opGetClusterMapInfo).

Raw cluster IDs now display as readable labels. The Go client v1.3.1 emits zone identifiers like 3312 for open-world zones and @HIDEOUT@3312@<UUID> for hideouts — unambiguous but unreadable. The new formatZone() helper looks them up against a 474-entry zone map auto-generated from the ao-bin-dumps cluster filenames.
What you'll see:
- 3312 → T5 Highland Keeper Outland Q5
- 3348 → T7 Highland Undead Outland Q5
- @HIDEOUT@3312@<UUID> → Hideout in T5 Highland Keeper Outland Q5

Future-proof: the tmp_check/generate_zonemap.py script regenerates the map whenever ao-bin-dumps publishes new cluster files (new zones, expansion releases). 7 royal cities + Brecilien are hand-curated; everything else auto-derives from the filename pattern (tier, biome, faction, region, quadrant).

🌍 Go client v1.3.1: in-session zone tracking finally works

Root cause for 290 empty-location events identified. Not the OpJoin field — but the fact that opChangeCluster (the in-session zone-transition opcode) was never handled at all. OpJoin only fires on initial connect, so every walk between zones during a session was silent. Loot/death events captured after that first connect carried whatever location was set at startup (often empty if the client started mid-session).
New opChangeCluster handler. Reads destination zone from param 0 — verified end-to-end on a 4-transition walk test (hideout → 3312 → 3348 → 3312 → hideout). Each transition correctly updated player location.
OpJoin field reverted to its original index. Earlier today I incorrectly switched it based on misread diag data; the 3-zone test proved the original location field was right all along, just compounded with the missing opChangeCluster handler made it look broken.
Net effect: the 📍 Zone tooltip on accountability pages will finally populate correctly for ZvZ scenarios. Loot pickups, death locations, and per-event zone tagging now reflect the actual current zone — not a stale connect-time value.
5-second invulnerability bubble note: death events practically never fired during the 4-second post-fix OpJoin re-sync window anyway, so the original race wasn't corrupting death-zone data in practice. Loot pickups during that window were the realistic risk, now fixed.
Released as Go client v1.3.1 — auto-built by GitHub Actions on tag push.

📍 Zone field discovered + device-auth rate limit raised

Zone identifier finally captured. The April 2026 game opcode shift moved the zone field from OpJoin param 8 → param 67. Identified via the diagnostic binary's [ZONE-DIAG] dump (189 param entries across multiple joins). Format: @HIDEOUT@<id>@<UUID> for hideouts, plain UUID for open-world zones. Fix shipped in the Go client; the long-broken Updating player location to ... log line now fires with real data.
Downstream effect: WS-uploaded LootEvent.Location and DeathEvent.Location will populate for new captures, which means the 📍 Zone tooltip on accountability missing-item hovers and death cards will render correctly going forward.
Device-auth rate limit raised 3 → 10/15min per IP. The 3-request cap was too tight when users retry during setup or troubleshoot a broken auth flow; combined with the Go client's silent error-swallowing this looked like a "timed out" failure with no explanation. Both server-side limit and client-side error surfacing fixed.

🔐 Device auth fix: CORS allowlist + redirect query preservation

"Network error" on Authorize is fixed. CORS was hardcoded to allow only https://coldtouch.github.io, so any browser running on https://albionaitool.xyz got its auth response blocked by the browser's CORS check. Allowlist now includes both production origins; same-origin / curl requests still pass through.
Redirect now preserves ?device= query string. Visiting https://albionaitool.xyz/?device=ABC-DEF previously redirected to the GitHub Pages root WITHOUT the device parameter, so the auth modal never opened. Fixed.
Go client console output cleaned up. The auth URL was printed inside a 46-char box but the URL is ~68 chars long — users only saw the truncated https://coldtouch.github.io/coldtouch-mar prefix and couldn't copy the full link. URL now prints on its own line outside the box, fully visible. Misleading "enter code" step removed (the code is already embedded in the URL — no manual entry on the site).
Zone-test exe rebuilt with the new console output. Available at D:\Coding\albiondata-client-custom\albiondata-client-zone-test.exe.

🛡️ SQLITE_BUSY Tier 4: single-writer queue + 90s watchdog

Catches the silent-wedge failure mode. The April 25 process.abort() handler caught synchronous SQLITE_BUSY thrown via uncaughtException — but today's outage was a transaction that silently hung for 10 hours with no FATAL line, no exception, no abort. The handler had nothing to fire on. The 90s per-tx watchdog catches exactly this case.
Single-writer queue. All 10 batch-write sites (recordSnapshots, NATS flush, spread-stats, analytics bulk + EMA, compaction tier1→2 + tier2→3, backfill, priceRefCache init + incremental) now go through withWriteLock(label, fn) — a JS-side Promise queue that ensures only one writer holds BEGIN at any moment, regardless of which connection (db vs statsDb). SQLite WAL allows concurrent readers but only ONE writer at the file level — the previous cross-connection contention is now structurally impossible.
Watchdog. Each lock-holder is wrapped in setTimeout(90_000). If done() isn't called in 90s the process aborts for clean systemd restart. Caps any future silent wedge at 90s instead of 10 hours.
Telemetry. Queue depth >5 logs a warning. Any single write held >30s logs a warning every 30s. Any write held >5s logs the elapsed time on completion. Early warning before the watchdog fires.
Today's outage: SIGKILL on PID 489379 (32 min CPU consumed, peaked at 10.2 GB memory before settling at 2.9 GB), systemctl start. Sub-10s recovery to PID 490291. Tier 4 ships immediately to prevent recurrence.

🛡️ Accountability tooltip: "Verified by chest log" line

Cross-reference at a glance. When a slot's items are corroborated by the chest log, the hover tooltip now shows a green ✓ Verified by chest log (N/M) bar between the status banner and the Pickups section. Partial verification reads (N/M of pickup).
Silent when no match. If the slot has no chest-log evidence, the line is omitted entirely — no "not verified" noise.
Aggregated correctly. Strip slots represent N pickups of an item with a status; the verified count sums across all matching rows so the displayed N/M reflects the full slot, not just one pickup.

🔍 Accountability strip: prominent ✓/✗ badges + rich pickup tooltip

Bigger, clearer status badges. Replaced the small corner dots with 16px ✓/✗ badges in the top-right of each icon. Deposited = green ✓, missing = red ✗ (with a soft red glow on the icon border so misses pop visually), partial = yellow ½, lost on death = 💀. Both deposited and missing now stand out at a glance — no need to expand the card.
Hover any preview icon for pickup detail. Tooltip now shows a status banner (✗ Missing 4 of 4, ½ Partial 3/5, etc.) plus a Pickups list with one row per pickup: time · looter name · guild · 📍 zone. Zone shown when Go client v1.3.0+ captured it. Up to 8 pickups inline; longer histories show "+N more".

🎨 Accountability: status-aware icon strip on player card header

Pickups visible at a glance. Accountability player cards now show an icon-strip preview in the header (same pattern as the regular session view), with status overlays per item: green border + dot for deposited, yellow for partial, red for missing, greyed for lost-on-death, faint red for enemy loot.
Aggregated by itemId + status so the same item lost-on-death and surviving stay separated visually. Sorted by total silver value descending — most-valuable hits lead. Hover any slot for the rich item tooltip (name, tier, market value, crafter).
Re-aggregates on perspective flip — switching the Friendly guild dropdown causes the strips to recompute, so a guildmate flipped to "enemy" perspective immediately shows their items as enemy-loot rather than deposited/missing.

🛡️ Loot Logger: friendly-guild perspective override

Auto-detect was guessing wrong when your guild was in the minority of captured events — guildmates got tagged as enemies and the enemy's deposits were credited to your side. Common in small-roster fights near a larger enemy guild.
New "Friendly guild" dropdown above the action buttons in the accountability report. Lists every guild seen in the session sorted by item count, with the auto-detected pick marked (auto). Picking a different guild flips the perspective: isGuildMember math, primary-guild banner, deaths section, and playerResults friendly/enemy tagging all update.
Persisted per-session in localStorage. Picking the auto-detected guild — or hitting Reset — drops the override and falls back to auto-detect. If a previously-selected guild isn't in the current session, the override is silently ignored.
Override clears primaryAlliance so guild-only matching kicks in — only that exact guild is friendly, not its alliance peers.

🎯 Loot Logger session timeline: tooltip dedup

Two tooltips, one hover. Session-timeline bars carry both data-tip-html (rich death-info card) and data-tip (plain text). Both document-level mouseover handlers fired on a single hover, each creating a singleton tooltip positioned over the bar — they stacked at the same screen coords.
Fix: the global tooltip handler now skips elements that have data-tip-html — those are owned by the dedicated rich-tooltip handler. Plain data-tip-only elements (status dots, item rows) still get the global tooltip as before.

🔢 Analytics 7d query: int64 overflow fix

Cast to REAL inside SUM. computeAnalytics was logging [Analytics] 7d query FAILED: SQLITE_ERROR: integer overflow every cycle (first surfaced April 25 at 19:57). The SUM((min_sell - max_buy)²) term overflowed int64 when summed across the 7-day price_averages window — squared spreads on high-value items are ~10¹⁴, and the cumulative sum easily blew past 9.2 × 10¹⁸.
Fix: CAST(min_sell - max_buy AS REAL) on one operand promotes the multiplication to double-precision float, which then accumulates safely in the SUM. Variance/stddev downstream loses no meaningful precision.
No outage — error was cleanly handled by the existing finalize('7d-err') path. But analytics rows weren't being written each cycle, leaving price_analytics data stale.

🧱 SQLITE_BUSY wedge: real fix (process.abort)

Yesterday's fix didn't actually exit. Tier 1 logged the FATAL but setTimeout(() => process.exit(1), 500) never fired — the event loop was wedged inside the native sqlite3 mutex, so the timer never ticked and process.exit()'s cleanup hooks hung on the same lock. Process stayed alive for 43 minutes with ports bound and zero log activity.
Switched to process.abort() — synchronous SIGABRT, no event-loop tick required, no async cleanup. Systemd catches it and restarts in ~5 s. Same change in the RSS watchdog.
Skip flushNatsBuffer() in the SQLite path. It does db.serialize(() => db.run('BEGIN TRANSACTION')) on the locked connection — that was the second wedge step after the FATAL log fired. RSS-driven exit still flushes (DB likely healthy there).
_aborting re-entrancy guard so a second SQLITE_BUSY landing while we're already aborting can't double-call abort.

💀 Player card "died with" preview

Died-with items on player cards: players who died during the session now show the items looted off their corpse in their card's preview strip — after a 💀 divider, rendered greyed + red-bordered so they read as "lost". Hover any icon for full context: time, zone, killer, and who looted it ("Died at 2:30 AM in Thetford Outskirts — killed by Gank — looted by Bob (2 items)"). Handles multiple deaths per session ("Died 3× — last at …"). Zone shown when the uploader was running Go client v1.3.0+.

🧱 SQLITE_BUSY stability overhaul

Seven batch-write sites hardened: NATS flush, hourly snapshot, spreadstats, analytics bulk + EMA, compaction tier 1→2 + 2→3, and Charts-API backfill now wrap BEGIN → prepare → run-loop → finalize → COMMIT with per-step error callbacks and explicit ROLLBACK on failure. Eliminates the orphan-transaction / unfinalized-statement state that caused the recurring 15-min silent-wedge outages on April 22-23.
Fatal-error handler: uncaughtException / unhandledRejection now process.exit(1) on SQLite state-corrupting errors (SQLITE_BUSY / LOCKED / CORRUPT / IOERR / MISUSE) so systemd restarts us cleanly in <5s instead of the process wedging for 15 min with 11 GB RSS.
Smaller batches: recordSnapshots 5000 → 500, computeSpreadStats 500 → 100. Shorter WAL lock windows so concurrent connections don't pile up waiting.
RSS watchdog: memory log cadence 10 min → 1 min; if RSS crosses 8 GB the process exits cleanly for a fresh-heap restart instead of inheriting a pathologically-bloated one.

🔗 Shared loot sessions render inline (no overlay)

Recipients see exactly what the uploader sees: clicking a loot-session share link used to render the session inside a full-screen overlay with a "Continue to Coldtouch" button. Now it renders inline in the normal Loot Logger → Upload mode pane — same summary strip, deaths section, player cards, and export buttons the uploader had. A thin banner at the top marks it read-only.

🧹 Accountability dropdown fixes + Share on uploads + sw.js fix

Accountability dropdowns — HTML artifact fix: session / capture / chest-log dropdowns were showing literal <span class="time-ago" data-ts="...">5m ago</span> text inside each option (caused by timeAgo() returning an HTML wrapper that <option> can't render). Switched all three to the plain-text _computeTimeAgo().
Uploaded sessions now group by upload time: a file uploaded 2 min ago with last-week's events used to show as "7d ago" in the Older group. Now renders as "📤 Uploaded 5m ago · events from 7d ago — 500 events · 12 players", grouped under "Recently uploaded" (24 h window so it survives refreshes). Duplicate emoji prefixes (🆕/⚠) on each row removed.
Share button on uploaded sessions: after uploading a .txt loot log, the report's action row now includes 🔗 Share and ✓ Accountability alongside CSV / .txt / JSON. Share uses the existing public-link system (anyone with the URL can view the session; revoke any time).
sw.js CACHE_NAME fix: the deploy-time auto-bumper kept appending an extra ' every deploy, producing a syntactically broken cache-name string. Reset to clean form and patched the bumper so future deploys stay clean.

🔧 SQLITE_BUSY hardening + Accountability tooltip + Portfolio craft runs

SQLITE_BUSY hardening: readDb busy_timeout bumped 5s → 30s (matches db and statsDb). All three connections now retry for up to 30 seconds before failing, eliminating SQLITE_BUSY on the read path during analytics batch writes.
Accountability missing-item hover tooltip: hovering (or tapping on mobile) a red "Missing" item row now shows a tooltip with who picked it up, at what time(s), and in which zone (📍 pin). Pickup events are tracked during the accountability pass and rendered per item. Requires the v1.3.0 custom client for zone data; older events still render cleanly without the pin.
Portfolio — Completed Craft Runs: the Portfolio Tracker tab now shows a collapsible table of all completed craft runs (requires login) with cost, revenue, net P/L after tax, and margin — totalled across all runs.

🛠️ Loot Logger fixes — Stop-Live-Session auto-save + Accountability share chest-log snapshot

Stop Live Session now auto-saves + renders: previously Stop only flipped a flag; the user had to click Save Session then click the session card. Now Stop: auto-saves in-memory events via /api/loot-session/consolidate (if not already saved), opens the detail panel, and renders the run via showLiveSession(). No-op if there are no events or the session is already saved.
Accountability share now includes chest-log batches: shared links were rendering the accountability check without any "verified deposited" badges because the snapshot omitted the opcode-157 chest-log batches (deposit/withdraw ground truth). Recipients saw pre-chest-log logic.
Schema: new chest_logs_json column on accountability_shares, with an idempotent ALTER TABLE…ADD COLUMN migration for existing DBs.
Backend: POST /api/accountability/share now accepts a chestLogs array (user's selected batches or all loaded), size-capped at 40 batches, 400 entries/batch, 500 KB JSON. GET /api/accountability/public/:token returns the parsed batches.
Frontend: shareAccountability() snapshots the relevant batches into the POST body. _renderPublicAccountabilityView() restores them into window._chestLogBatches, rebuilds the acc-chestlog-select dropdown with shared batches auto-selected, and marks it as user-interacted so it can't be rebuilt out from under the shared view. Banner footer now shows the batch count.
VPS outage recovery: backend process was stuck in a SQLITE_BUSY loop that the uncaughtException handler swallowed without unblocking the event loop — logs went silent for 22 min. Force-killed stuck PID, clean restart via systemd.

📍 Custom Data Client v1.3.0 — Zone tracking

Zone tracking: client now detects zone transitions via operationJoinResponse and attaches the current zone to every loot event and death event sent to the VPS. Download from the v1.3.0 GitHub release.
Death cards: accountability deaths section now splits into three categories — 🛡️ Friendly (our members died), 💀 Enemy (we killed them), 👁️ Other (bystanders, collapsed by default).
Zone badge: 📍 ZoneName shown on each death card when location is known.

No behavior change: every loot, death, and chest event is captured exactly as before. Download the new albiondata-client-custom.exe from the v1.2.0 GitHub release.
Loot writer: bufio.Writer over the .txt log; per-event file.Sync() removed. Background ticker flushes to the kernel every 5s; CloseLootFile drains on shutdown. Eliminates 50+ fsync syscalls/sec during ZvZ.
Logging: per-event log.Infof for loot + deaths downgraded to Debugf. New 30s aggregated Info summary ("Captured N loot event(s) and M death(s) in the last 30s"). Synchronous journald writes were stalling the event goroutine at 100+ events/sec.
VPS relay: pooled bytes.Buffer + json.Encoder in a new buildRelayMessage helper used by all six Send* functions. Drops the map[string]interface{} + fresh buffer allocation per event.
Atomic connected flag: connected bool → atomic.Bool. Disconnected fast-path in sendOrQueue no longer contends with an in-flight WriteMessage.
Reusable auth timer: replaced time.After(30s) with time.NewTimer + defer Stop() so reconnect churn doesn't leak runtime timers.
WebSocket broadcast: {topic,data} envelope built into one pre-sized []byte via append instead of three string concatenations. 1 allocation instead of 3 per broadcast.
GUID construction: three fmt.Sprintf("%02x", byte(b)) loops in container-open handlers replaced with a shared guidHex() helper using encoding/hex. Cuts 16+ allocations per container open to one small []byte.
Vault info parsing: names, icons, guids, vi.Tabs slices preallocated to their final length.
Estimated combined impact: during sustained 100+ event/sec ZvZ phases, ~30–50% CPU reduction, ~80% disk-I/O latency reduction on the loot writer, ~20–30% GC pause reduction.

🔒 Security hardening — exchange code flow, rate limiters, SRI, UX polish

JWT never in URL (CRITICAL): Discord OAuth callback now issues a short-lived exchange code (60s TTL) instead of embedding the JWT in the redirect URL. Frontend exchanges the code for the token via POST /api/auth/exchange — token goes straight to localStorage, never into browser history or server logs.
Transport-routes-live hardened (HIGH): added dedicated rate limiter (5 req/min) and 30s server-side cache so the O(n²) join isn't computed on every unauthenticated hit.
Health endpoints stripped (HIGH): /health and /healthz now return only {"status":"ok"}. Full diagnostics (uptime, DB sizes, job timings) moved to /api/admin/health behind JWT.
Device code hard cap (HIGH): added per-IP rate limit (3 per 15 min) and a 200-entry global cap on the deviceCodes map to prevent unbounded memory growth.
Password reset token removed from URL (HIGH): added ?reset= param handler + modal in the frontend so the reset link exchanges the token immediately on page load and strips it from the URL bar.

🚨 Outage recovery — analytics rewrite, read-path isolation, craft-runs render fix

12-hour outage resolved. Live site was timing out (HTTP 000) because the scheduled analytics job was running 1,700 SQL batches that took ~22 min total — over the 25-min "stuck" reset — and each reset spawned an overlapping run on top of the old one. 20+ concurrent EMA chains pegged the event loop.
Analytics rewrite: added a generation token so stale callbacks from reset runs abort silently, AND replaced the 1,700-query batch loop with one ordered streaming pass. First cycle after deploy finalized in 504s — the success signal that had never fired before. New composite index idx_pa_ema_stream covers the ORDER BY.
Read-path isolation: moved /api/craft-runs, /api/loot-tabs, /api/loot-session, /api/alerts, /api/transport-routes, /api/spread-stats and others to the dedicated read-only DB connection (readDb). They used to queue behind writes on the main connection and stall during analytics. Reads now return in <200 ms regardless of analytics activity.
Craft Runs "network error" fix: user-reported. Turned out to be a pure JavaScript ReferenceError: fmtSilver is not defined in crRunCardHTML — the broad catch {} in the fetch wrapper swallowed it and showed the misleading "Could not reach server" message. 8 typo'd fmtSilver(...) calls renamed to formatSilver(...), 1 fmtNum replaced with toLocaleString(). Cache bumped to v55.
DB busy_timeout 5s → 30s: absorbs SQLITE_BUSY during analytics bulk flush (was spamming the log with [FATAL] every 30s).

🔍 Accountability audit — session time window + dedupe + special-item filter

Chest-log selector fixes: each in-game chest log viewing produces two batches (📥 deposits + 📤 withdraws). Selector now auto-selects all batches on render (users were having to Ctrl-click) and has a taller default height so both entries fit visibly.
Date cross-check: chest logs retain ~4 weeks of history. Deposits from outside the session's time window (±buffer) are now automatically excluded from verification — a 2-week-old deposit won't get credited toward today's fight. Verify banner shows the exact date range + how many entries were dropped.
Loot-logger audit: extracted sanitizeLootEvents as the single cleanup pass. Applied in both session view + accountability. Dedupes (matches backend UNIQUE INDEX), drops empty item_ids, filters special internals (SILVER / GOLD / FAME_CREDIT / POUCHes / TOME_OF_INSIGHT / SEASONAL_TOKEN). Defensive — Go client already skips silver, but belt-and-suspenders at the JS layer prevents any leakage.

A 74-death ZvZ used to be a flat wall of rows. Now the Deaths section body splits into two collapsible sub-groups.

💀 Enemy kills — collapsed by default with “click to expand” hint. Sorted by silver taken. Kept for audit but out of the way.
Fixed: __live__ session event mapping was stripping looted_from_guild/looted_from_alliance, making every death render as enemy in live sessions.

💀 Death attribution via pickup timestamps + chest-log permission note

Old logic: items were only marked “lost on death” when another tracked player looted them off the corpse. This missed losses whenever the victim died out of range of all tracked looters, or when enemies out of range did the looting.
New logic: if a player died at time T, every item they picked up BEFORE T is lost on death. Multiple deaths per player supported (pickups between two deaths attribute to the next one). Post-death pickups still count toward “should have deposited”.
Implemented as a two-pass scan: pass 1 collects deathTimesByPlayer[name] from __DEATH__ events; pass 2 flags every pickup whose player has any later death timestamp as lost.
Lost rows render with the existing red .ll-item-died outline + “Lost on Death” status.
Chest Log Captures card now warns that viewing chest logs requires the View Chest Logs permission on your guild role (Officer+). Without it, the Log tab doesn’t appear in-game at all.

✓ Accountability — chest-log cross-check with verified badges

New Chest Log Captures card in Accountability (parallel to Chest Captures). Start Capturing → open any chest Log tab in-game → the client decodes opcode 157 and streams deposit/withdraw records to your browser.
Deposit vs withdraw tagging — the game doesn’t mark direction in the response; we pair each response to its originating request via the Photon invocation counter and infer direction from REQUEST param 6 (filter 1 = withdraw, 28 = deposit).
🔗 Merge & Verify button — cross-checks each player’s pickup events against chest-log deposit records by `(player, itemId)`. Matches get a green ring on the icon + ✓ badge next to the item name; hover reveals “Verified: chest log shows {player} deposited {qty}”. Partial matches (log qty < pickup) show a yellow ring.
New Verified count in the summary strip; verify banner above it reports batches + deposit/withdraw totals.
Important scope: chest log is a verification layer, not a replacement — it only sees deposits/withdrawals, not field pickups. The loot client remains the source of truth for “who picked up what”. Merge only raises confidence on matched items; absence of a badge isn’t evidence of theft.

Problem: expanded death cards were an anonymous grid of 36px icons. In a ZvZ death with 8+ items and multiple looters, you had to hover each one to learn what was taken — unreadable.
New layout: one card per looter with Name [Guild] · N items · silver header, then one row per item (icon · name · ×qty · value). Stackables collapse. Items sorted most-valuable-first within each pile.
Worn-at-death moved into its own collapsible <details> (auto-open for small sets, collapsed for long ones) — keeps the focus on who looted what.
Empty-range deaths now render a clean “No items recovered in tracked range” state instead of a blank strip.
Mobile: grid drops the silver column but keeps name + qty readable on one line.

🔤 Accountability — recover item names when Go client ships without itemmap

Bug: a friend ran a CTA and shared the accountability report — every one of 651 events rendered as “Unknown 1954”, “Unknown 2409”, “Unknown 9090”… Regear was impossible.
Cause: the Go client resolves numeric item IDs via a companion itemmap.json next to the binary. Missing/stale file → resolveItemName falls back to UNKNOWN_<numericID> → every event streams with the sentinel name instead of the real string ID.
Fix — website recovers without waiting for client re-install: bundled itemmap.json (11,175 entries) on the frontend; new rewriteUnknownItemId helper maps UNKNOWN_1954 → T4_RUNE → “Adept’s Rune” using either numeric_id from the payload or the suffix parsed out of the item ID. Normalization runs at every ingestion point: accountability fetch (session / live / shared), live WebSocket loot events, and chest-capture handler (before the cosmetic filter — otherwise mapped items would be wrongly filtered).
Verified against the friend’s real share link: 651/651 events resolved, 429 item rows now show proper names (“Grandmaster’s Bag”, “Major Gigantify Potion”, “Grandmaster’s Hellion Jacket”…). Works for viewers who never ran the Go client themselves.

🔗 Loot Buyer — multi-tab select + combine

Checkbox on every capture card — tick 2+ tabs and a combine bar appears with live “N tabs · M item lines · X total qty · Y kg” summary.
🔗 Combine & Analyze merges selected tabs: stackables dedup by (itemId, quality, enchantment) with quantities summed; equipment stays separate (each instance is unique).
Each merged item keeps a _sourceTab reference so downstream UI knows which tab contributed it.
Phase 1 evaluate, Phase 2 sell plan, and Phase 3 track all work on the combined tab unchanged — no code paths had to be rewritten.

👻 Loot Buyer — ghost “Unicorn skin” fix (non-tradeable filter)

Bug: chest captures sometimes included items that weren’t physically in the tab — most notably UNIQUE_UNLOCK_SKIN_HORSE_UNICORN_WHITE_TELLAFRIEND (a Tell-a-Friend recruiter reward) appearing in a personal “sell” tab. Reproducible on rescan.
Cause: the Go client’s global item cache includes account-bound items (mount skin unlocks, avatars, TELLAFRIEND rewards) that are always in awareness. The game’s AttachItemContainer slot map occasionally references these slots, leaking cosmetics into chest captures.
Fix (two layers): new IsNonTradeableItem/isNonTradeableItemId filter in both the Go client and the website. Skips UNIQUE_UNLOCK_*, SKIN_*, UNIQUE_AVATAR*, UNIQUE_HIDEOUT*, UNKNOWN_*, and anything containing _TELLAFRIEND. Tradeable mounts (Mammoth, Ox, regular horses) are unaffected.
Go client now logs each filtered item at Info level and reports a filtered count in the capture summary.

📦 From Scan button in run detail — attach a chest capture directly to an active run. Cost is split across items by quantity (or by market value); each line becomes a tab_scan-sourced buy transaction.
📊 Sync to Portfolio button — pushes every buy/sell transaction from a run into the Portfolio Tracker (FIFO cost basis preserved). Re-sync is idempotent — prior syncs for the same run are replaced, not duplicated. Only market-facing lines sync; internal refine/craft pipeline steps stay in the run log.
⚒️ Refining Planner — collapsible helper at the top of the Craft Runs tab. Pick material type (ore / wood / fiber / hide / rock) and input quantity; shows best royal city + bonus, or hideout mode (PL + Core %), applies RRR formula with optional Focus, and displays expected output and materials saved. Live recalc on every change.
Escape now closes the Scan picker modal too.

🛠 Big audit pass — recipes, transport, contributions, item mismatches, security

Bear Paws + ~70 other artifact weapons now have recipes — Market Browser Craft button now renders on every weapon, Crafting Profits opens every artifact. Previously KEEPER/HELL/MORGANA/AVALON/CRYSTAL faction variants were silently missing from the recipe generator.
Transport Routes now shows food, potions, raw materials. Backend was filtering out anything under 100 silver/unit profit — bulk cargo has 5–60 s/unit margins but dominates total trip profit. Dropped the floor to 1; the frontend's ROI cap + sort-by-trip-profit still handle outliers.
Community + Profile contribution score updates again. The contributions endpoint required a different payload than what the frontend sent, and the Transport activity was weighted but never tracked. Both fixed.
Loot Logger item-mismatch fix — "Assassin Hood 6.3" that was actually a different item came from a stale itemmap (game shipped Protocol18 on April 13; our map was from April 1). Regenerated item/weight maps from the latest dump and rebuilt the Go client exe.
In-game chest log capture prep. The Go client now dumps the authoritative chest log packets when you open the Log tab in-game (with LogUnknownEvents on). Next session we'll use that data to cross-check our loot capture and flag mismatches in real time.
Security pack: leaderboard avatar XSS closed, device-auth no longer kicks your other client offline, WebSocket auth now rate-limited per IP, leaderboard score can no longer be gamed (per-type daily caps), device-token endpoint returns uniform errors to stop token enumeration.
Latency wins: chart opens, Profile tab, analytics reads moved off the main DB connection — they were queueing behind NATS batch writes. Chart modal should feel instant now.
Live Flips reliability: validation runs 5-at-a-time (was 1 serial); stale flips are dropped instead of broadcast; when AODP is down, flips are marked unverified instead of silently passing through.
Transport accuracy: trophies/furniture/mount tokens/bags are no longer treated as 999-stackable (no more "buy 20k Mammoth kits"); weapon categorization operator precedence fixed.

Shared accountability links show death loot — each death row in the Accountability view now expands on click to reveal Recovered items (with qty badges and price tooltips), Worn-at-death equipment, and who looted the corpse. Before, the share view showed only a flat "victim → killer" strip with no way to see what was dropped or picked up.
Owner view and shared view now render deaths identically — both use the same expandable row component from the main session view.
Fix: "Share failed: Unexpected token '<'" on big content. Express was rejecting POSTs over 100 KB with an HTML error page, and the client choked trying to JSON.parse it. Bumped body limit to 5 MB.

Community leaderboard by Activity Score — no longer just "top scanners". Your combined 30-day activity (loot sessions ×5, chest captures ×3, accountability ×3, sales ×2, market scans ×1, transport + crafting ×1) ranks you against everyone else. Top section explains the formula in a collapsible panel.
Profile page overhaul — stats now lead with Activity Score + Community Rank + Tier instead of just scans. New Activity Breakdown panel shows per-category contribution counts and point totals.
Profile wizard fixed — removed the "Run with --capture" step. Capture is on by default in the client; users don't need flags.
Transport: Route Risk slider — set a gank rate (0-40%) and every route card gets a "Risk-Adj Net" column = profit × (1−rate) − cost × rate. Red-zone routes are now honestly priced.
Transport: Auto-refresh — toggle in the control panel. Routes update every 60 seconds when you're viewing the tab + in live mode.

🔧 Live Flips fix + Loot Logger redesign + Transport mount weights

Live Flips working again — default filter was 50k silver but backend broadcasts 10k+. Dropped default to 10k. Filter-persistence was also broken due to wrong DOM IDs. Softened the low-side outlier guard so legitimately cheap resources aren't rejected.
Transport mount weights corrected — our values were 5-10× too low. T8 Elder's Mammoth is 22,521 kg (we had 1,764!), T7 Grandmaster's Ox is 2,667 kg (we had 1,262). Added Mule, T3 Horse, Swiftclaw, Moose, Giant Stag, Grizzly Bear, full T4-T8 Ox ladder. Dropdown reorganized into clean categories.
Market Browser — the "Flips" button on item cards is now "Craft" for items that have a recipe, leading straight to the crafting detail with material breakdown.
Recent Sales moved to Portfolio — lives next to trade history where it belongs. Still auto-detects sales from in-game mail.
Loot Logger — sessions grouped into collapsible 📅 Today / Yesterday / This Week / Older buckets. Massive space saving for users with lots of saved sessions.
Loot Logger — pick a session, list hides. Previously both were visible at once. "← Back" button restores the list.
Loot Logger timeline hover — bars now show a rich tooltip with death count + victim names, guild-colored via a hash palette consistent with the player cards.
Loot Logger deaths — color fixed: friends = green, enemies = red (was reversed). Whole deaths section is now one big collapsible card with compact one-liner rows that expand on click. No more 20 massive cards dominating the page.

Backend tax fix — the server was using the stale 3% tax everywhere (Loot Buyer, Transport Live, Live Flips, spread stats). Now premium-aware: 4%/8% instant, 6.5%/10.5% sell-order, driven by your Premium toggle. Every server-computed "net after tax" is now correct for your account.
Loot Buyer patient-sell — was using instant-sell tax (no setup fee) for sell-order math. Patient totals were inflated by 2.5-3.5 points, skewing BUY/MAYBE/SKIP verdicts. Fixed.
Freshness bug fixed — NATS price updates were overwriting recent dates with empty strings, making fresh data look stale. The freshness dot now stays green when prices update via NATS.
⭐ Favorites hub — every Market Browser card gets a star button. Favorites rows gain action buttons (chart, browser, compare, craft, remove). Favorites is no longer an island.
Live Flips cards are clickable — click to open the chart, dismiss × to hide a flip you've already taken. Filter state persists across reloads.

Fixed Discord login appearing broken when SpreadStats was running — a 90-second database query was blocking all user-facing requests including /api/me
SpreadStats now uses a separate database connection so background bulk writes never block the login flow
